At Island Return It, we recycle a wide variety of items ranging from your typical bottles and cans to smoke alarms, light bulbs, paint products, packaging, and more.
However, it is important to note that not all items are recyclable at all of our 5 Vancouver Island and Salt Spring locations. All registered ready-to-drink beverage containers packaged in any kind of container can be returned at all of our locations.
Electronics
All Electronics, TVs, Peripherals and medical devices mentioned below can be recycled at Island Return It facilities at no cost.
Packaging
Plastic Bags / Glass Jars / Styrofoam –
We accept all of these products in small quantities from Vancouver Island residential areas only.

We recycle all kinds of batteries to include power tools, devices, computers and more as well as household batteries at no charge.

When returning leftover paint, be sure to keep products in their original containers with labels on.

We accept lighting products for recycling without charge, including all types of lights (bulbs and tubes).

Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarms – We are AlarmRecycle which is a recycling program for used or expired alarms.
