When your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors eventually wear out, do you toss them in the trash? Most people do. Thankfully we are part of AlarmRecycle, a program that allows us to recycle unwanted smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors and combination alarms. The materials used to make these devices can be salvaged and used to make something new, keeping waste out of the landfill. You can recycle your worn out smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors at our Campbell River, Esquimalt, Duncan and South Cowichan locations. You can even recycling your detector batteries with us! Please see our page on recycling batteries for more details.
Unfortunately we cannot accept building-wide detector units, alarm keypads, thermostats or physically damaged smoke alarms.
