Recycling starts here! Since day one, it has been our goal to build recycling and bottle depots around the island to make recycling a more convenient and easy part of your lifestyle. Our recycling centres offer customers a bright, clean and well-organized way to recycle on Vancouver Island.

We offer a variety of recycling services in multiple locations to meet your needs. We’ve expanded our programs beyond bottles and cans to help serve better save the communities we work in! We now offer recycling services for small appliances, electronics, smoke alarms, batteries and light bulbs. We also recycle old paint, power tools and a wide variety of packaging. It is our mission to continue to be forward thinking with our recycling services – for instance, we now offer recycling services for other flexible packaging, including chip bags, granola bar wrappers, zipper lock bags and even deli meat packaging! Don’t forget, they have to be sorted from plastic bags and overwrap.

Over the years, we have expanded from our first location in the Cowichan Valley to six locations all across Vancouver Island. We are happy to serve you at our recycling centres in Duncan, Campbell River, Salt Spring Island, and South Cowichan (Sidney is under new ownership since July 2020 and Esquimalt since Sept 2023). 

 Island Return It also offers commercial bottles and cans pick up and sponsors a variety of community events, including fundraising, bottle drives and contests! We look forward to continuing to provide you with future driven recycling services and friendly, clean facilities that meet your recycling needs.
