29 Nov Local Bottle Drives Raise Funds and Spirits
That’s a lot of empty bottles and cans and that’s only one of the 5 communities that Island Return it is located in.
Community involvement is really important to us, at Island Return It, helping and supporting local organizations is a special way that we can help give back. When you register your bottle drive with us (whichever location that is nearest to you) you get FULL REFUNDS on all empty ready to drink beverage containers. We provide support and guidance to help you make the most of your fundraiser and we help promote your event through our social media channels.
Supporting our communities is priority #1 for us.
We love nothing more than to participate in a school or team bottle drive that raises money for a good cause while keeping the money in our communities. As with anything, it’s important to do your due diligence when selecting a recycling centre to partner with for bottle drives. Make sure that you choose a recycling centre that will not send your collection of bottles and cans out of town for counting, continue what you have worked so hard to accomplish – money being raised within your own neighborhood for the good of the neighborhood.
“Shop Local” is a popular theme online, especially around the holidays, this is the same idea, by working with a local company you are helping to create jobs and opportunities for those in your area. Kill two birds with one stone next time you plan a bottle drive and choose the recycling centre with a long history of community involvement.
To get in touch with us about setting up your next bottle drive call your local Island Return It depot. We have locations in Esquimalt, Sidney, Duncan, Salt Spring and Campbell River.
